AAUW Mission Statement

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.

AAUW Diversity Statement

In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

AAUW Vision Statement

AAUW will be a powerful advocate and visible leader in equity and education through research, philanthropy, and measurable change in critical areas impacting women and girls.

Branch Meetings

Monthly branch meetings are typically held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, featuring speakers and topics of local and national interest. For this year's program, click on Happenings. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome. Most of the meetings are held at the Ann Arbor Women's City Club.

The September Branch Meeting is an Open House. Learn about the activities of the branch. Sign up for participation in the various Interest Groups and socialize with branch members.

Luncheons

Winter luncheon
The December Branch meeting is a special Holiday Luncheon. This provides a celebratory atmosphere for food and friendship. A special program is presented.
Spring luncheon
The May Branch meeting is a luncheon where a program is provided. New officers are installed.

Board Meetings

The branch board is responsible for the overall operations of the branch. The board meets the first Tuesday of each month. The specific time and location of the board meetings can be found by clicking on Happenings.

Community Outreach projects

Brains Rule
A day-long workshop on neuroscience for middle school students. Scientists from the field of neuroscience offer hands on sessions where students learn about various functions of the brain. The Ann Arbor Branch supports the program financially and by providing volunteers for the event.
